In my kitchen I have a ceiling mounted spotlight track which uses R63 type fittings and bulbs. I'd like to replace this with a new track and LED technology bulbs. Currently I have 6 X 50 watt units and want to maintain that level of light and a similar colour temperature. I'm aware that there are LED R63 type replacements available but wondered if that form factor was the best was yo go or to maybe look at GU10 types of presentation. The kitchen is 5 metres in Length by 3 metres wide with work surface and appliances down one side and on the return at one end so I want a light that's a decent spread. Anyone done anything similar?

As a more economical solution to expensive/inferior LEDs I've just fitted a Flourescent 'Aro Flush Ceiling Light' from Wickes (item 218867). Better light than the halogen spot bar it replaced & only uses 40w. About to fit a few more in utility room etc!
