Hi,

we have an unmodernised recently purchased first home (a 1930s semi) to refurb/renovate and intend to add a patio/decked area in the future. While we're having the electrical system totally replaced we want to add some outside lighting. Our idea is to place some sort of wall lighting either side of french doors and a rear ground floor window so to have three fittings fairly equally spaced across the width of the rear elevation with another unit to the side elevation.

Does anyone have any suggested company or website to browse or suggestions and advice?

We don't want anything too "floodlightesque" just some fairly modern looking fittings that would provide enough light for a bit of night time alfresco action. We'll probably add post lighting or other ground lights once the refurb has moved on to the garden in later years.

Many thanks.

You could have GU10 up/down lights like 100 bazillion other people. Or you could have some imagination!

Ansell do some nice stuff. astro and endon might be cheaper. But TBH I'd just google exterior lights and look at the range or get to a wholesaler and ask to see some brochures.
