slow filling toilet

Just fitted a new loo with all new insides (Wickes Avalon).

Its a really slow filler - about 5 minutes.

Is this a feature of these new low consumption toilets ?

The fill probably has a flow restrictor designed for mains pressure and your toilet might fill on low pressure.

You can normally pull these out with some needle nose pliers.
