Hi,

Looking for a bit of "Wow" for my new build.

I have french and Bi folds on the back so the obvious choice is decking but TBH it's maintenance is a complete pain.

I have seen an external vinyl plank mentioned - anyone used it or have any other ideas ?

(Not keen on slabs)

Cheers

Google "eco decking"

There are a few companies who make boards out out recycled materials (which dont look as crap as they sound). They are pretty much plastic decking boards with grippy inserts.

No maintenance, similar price to good hardwood decking and you do your but for reducing carbon footprint.

Get a couple of companies to send you samples - they are really quite impressive considering they are made up of the crap we throw away. Got some paperwork for one company we looked at using for our jetty here at work. Will dig it out when im back in the office on monday.

I was thinking of a vinyl floor probably with a wooden plank design but as a single (or plank) sheet to be stuck down on concrete base.

Ah ok. I have never seen that as an external finish. I'd be interested in seeing what product you find.

Well I stumbled onto this which started me thinking about it:

http://www.krono-original.com/all-weather-floor7

But I can't find any info on a UK search nor any prices

This lot stock the bulk of the krono range:

I'd give them a call. Its just a super hard wearing laminate.

Thanks - tried calling - not there on a Sat frown

I'll try Monday - I'm guessing it's a new line.
I see their Aqua stuff is £30/m2 so I'd think it's a bit more.

Well I tried calling a few dealers today.

None have heard of the Outdoor stuff nor are interested in trying to get hold of it.

I've Emailed the German Co. direct and see what they say.

Should anyone care / find this in a search in the future.

Krono Germany say it will be available in the UK this Summer.
