Not experience but considered them. We have young kids and apparently the fronts get very hot so we went for a different range, missus also didn't like the goldy coloured bits on top (fussy you see) but meant to be highly regarded I believe and generally look the business.
I have a Westahl and it is the contemporary version of Lacanche. I love it, one gas oven and one electric and the a gas hob which is outstanding. I can't rave about it enough. I had a brief contemplation about induction hobs when redoing the kitchen and am so glad I held out.Get one, they are great!
Heard mixed reviews re the Lacanche. Warranty issues etc. looked at Aga too, but running costs and a total change of cooking techniques put me off.
Need a better range than we have, so appreciate the advice. Agree the Lancanche could look a little 'evoque', gold knobs etc. no timer either, decisions eh.

Yep. Warranty has been exceptional too. Mine was moved and, I guess, the gas pressure changed. They sent an engineer for free who set the whole thing up again and it is now excellent. The big ring can alternate between raging inferno and a gentle lick. It is a pleasure to use.NorthDave said:

It is a pleasure to use.i was gunning for lacanche or falcon for months and today pulled the trigger on a used falcon. brief and very uninspiring moment with lacanche uk tipped the balance. my neighbour also mentioned his bad post sales experience and reliability issues with his old lacanche so im hoping the somewhat industrial looking falcon does the job. made in uk too!
