After a long time toying with my choices and budget. I have sided with putting in an order for 2 pack epoxy floor paint from Regal Paints.

http://www.regalpaints.co.uk/epoxy-floor-paint.htm...

I have gone for a light grey colour - to reflect as much light as possible and have purchased 2 pack floor sealer and 2 pack high build paint.
Technical advise have told me that the sealer should be applied and left for a couple of hours, but when the main paint is applied, this should be left for about 5 days.
Further more there are two coats of the top coat to go on....

I receieved the paint today - they have sent the wrong stuff.....Groan - they have arranged to ship the correct paint early next week now - I was keen to get started today !!

Some photos of the before and after next !!

That looks really good! How did the costs compare to the interlocking tiles? And did you do it yourself?

That's looks to be exactly what I'm after. Do you have a link and may I ask how much per meter?

£220 for the tiles and £150 for the guy to do it (guy supplying everything else for the job)

Thanks. On that basis there probably isn't that much difference to the interlocking tiles price wise.

Those look great! What condition was the floor in beforehand? I would have thought a garage would need screed first, plus then the adhesive and fitting so £150 to fit sounds too good to be true!

Looks fab - but are these suitable for working on? (as in, working on a car)

I tiled mine in ceramics, same ones as BMW use in their showrooms apparently, they are fine for working on and look far nicer than anything else IMHO.

I only get the car in...not enough room to be working on it.

I'm afraid I don't have any before photo's but it's a new build concrete poured floor. Floor was level and throwing up the usual dust you get from bare concrete. I didn't get the details but he said he had to buy special adhesive because of the type of tiles and the fact I was putting the car on it.

Those tiles look really good. How did you deal with the threshold at the entrance? Do you have a little ramp up? Any problems with cracked tiles due to car weight?

Thanks

My garage is now finished with porcelin tiles. This is an earlier work in progress picture:

This was also on a new build floor as above (other than three years of use) using normal Bal rapidset flexible floor adhesive (fully bedded rather than dabs) and dark grey grout .

I've done plenty of work on the car since, had it up on axle stands etc and all seems fine. I must admit to being a little concerned that it would just crack the first time I parked on it!

I sorted the threshold with a bevelled chrome edging strip cemented under the tile edge and grouted. It has also survived daily use without damage.
