An alternative? - http://www.costco.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/co...
That looks interesting. I have a triple garage to do soon and may look at that.Mototile does look very good. Elliot and bdog great garages. Im extremely jealous. I just picked up a new 2013 gsxr750, but need a garage like that to store it! Once i get a hut i can move all of the gardening stuff out and make it a proper man cave bdog if u dont mind me asking how much roughly did that cost? My garage is roughly the same length but a bit narrower. Did u just lay the tiles straight onto concrete? Cheers andy

£1160 for 50 m2 so my misses says lolI've got samples of both the Mototile and Endurance Mats tiles, so thought I'd post a few pictures:
The Endurance Mats tile is a lot thicker, not sure if this is a good thing or not:

However, the finish on the Mototile tile looks much higher quality:

I'm leaning more towards to Mototile, but will see how the budget looks once the garage is built.

how would they compare in terms of axle stands and trolley jacks?
This is it... I'm not sure the endurance tyre would fair well tbh with a jack... an axle stand maybe ok as the load is spread a bit better.I also got a sample a few weeks back and tried it under a bike stand - it warps the tile because of the thickness so you'd need something else to protect.
You can't really spread the load on the bottom of a trolley jack because of the wheels but then you could have a couple of spare tiles in stock to swap out seeing as they are so cheap...
Either way i'm impressed for the price and as long as your careful they should look great for ages!

Never mind the floor what cabs did you go for? They look very smart. My next door neighbour has plastic floor tiles, every time the sun hits them, they puff up, which would annoy me, so i'm glad I spent a bit more. I've used my jack several times now, the floor is well 'ard.
I've gone for a slightly softer, but cheaper route.
sold the Fabia on Saturday so was straight off down to my local Costco to buy 7 packs of Best-Step interlocking mats.
They are a sponge-type tile, but I don't do a lot of spannering in the garage so hoping this won't be an issue.
Same as these: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Best-Step-EVA-Foam-Floo...
For around £84 all-in for a 3.5m x 5m garage i'm pretty chuffed.
Also went for some new storage racks that can break down into workbench height to afford me some work space.
Just gotta move everything out so I can fit it now

I put my 3 ton trolley jack under the entire front of the Dakar (so at least 1+ ton of weight, given its got a small-block chevy in it) and it did indeed squash the wheel of the jack into the floor until the underneath of the jack was resting on the floor. It did recover after a while when the weight was taken off. If you left it like that for a long period I think it would leave a permanent mark.Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
