Getting there, more tidying to do and next I will line the roof with white panels to brighten it up.

Looks good.

I was surprised how much brighter having white roof panels made the space!

That wood flooring does actually look good.

More in love with the RL7 wheels on the Griff though.

I'll put some pics in the garage thread when finished Podie, now being retired I'm working at my own pace hehe

After moving to our house 5 years ago it was finally time to convert it from a decorators/DIY/workshop/store into a nice garage for my cars. So, this week I made a start on my garage revamp and of course it started with two runs to the tip to get rid of years of accumulated junk. The panoramic view gives an idea of what started with. Today, I'm half way through laying the floor and I'm very happy with it. How it will stand the test of time is anyone's guess but it's only a garage and it's much cleaner than bare concrete. Next up it to panel the ceiling with the white boards you can see behind the Griff. I'll post a few more pics as the job progresses.

How long have you had the floor down for down? Does it see much movement with the cars in and out? If so I’d be interested to know if it’s showing marks/scratches or doing anything it shouldn’t as that looks rather good and I wouldn’t mind putting that down in my new garage.

Too early to say. It's only been down a couple of months and I've not moved the cars around much. Sorry, I can't comment on it's resilience, yet!

Thanks for the quick reply. I will probably ask again in about 6months as that’s the timeline I have for the next house we are refurbishing.

I'll update this thread. I'm pleased with it so far but the only wear it's had so far is ladders and tools because I'm now creating a mezzanine for storage and panelling the roof space with white boards. Totally unnecessary but I have always promised myself a nice garage and now I'm retired I can take my time over it wink

RichB - your flooring has inspired me and I think I will be going the same route. I found this in my search and think it looks amazing. I appreciate it’s in a dealership but wonder if it would be possible to have this and protect it as/when needed?

Thanks, as I say, I cannot vouch for how resilient it will be, it was a bit of a punt on my part! I have certainly got drip trays (grow-bag trays from the garden centre) the vintage Lagonda suffers with incontinence biggrin

Wood floor looks amazing & is giving me pause for thought on my own garage floor.

Not sure it will be compatible with newer tyres and a gravel drive mind.

My everyday car stays outside on the drive. So the garage only gets light use. That's why I'm hesitant to recommend it to anyone yet. I love it but time will tell. smile

It looks great! What is it, if you don't mind me asking? Can't be any more expensive than some of the stupid prices I've been quoted for plastic garage tiles! irked

Look back for my post on 15 August for more chat but it's the cheapest wood effect flooring I could find, printed not real wood. For my triple garage cost about £450.

p.s. the roof paneling is coming on nicely too, one bay done. The mezzanine for storage is done now and it's taken me about a week doing a few hours here and there. I'm retired so no rush! Just another two sections to do now.

p.p.s. as there's no 'Garage ceiling' thread here's a snap! wink

So about half the price of the usual plastic tiles then! Thank you. Ceiling looks great, how are you attaching the white boards?

New house move, new garage floor..... no prizes tho!! biggrin

I'll probably go back to the coordinated carpet tiles I had in my last garage fairly soon but needed something quick, cheap and cheerful in the first few months as the garage was getting uses as a box store, a dog kennel and furniture repository.

£70 off eBay for cheap artificial grass.
There goes the neighbourhood!!

Assuming you're the same Renmure who used to post on the Westfield Sportscar Club, your last place was stunning, but looked like a lot of gardening/land upkeep. Hope the new place is just as good, if not on such a scale!

(There's probably worse things to put on the floor, but that's pretty 'special' smile )

Just in case anyone is considering the interlock rubber mat type floor, it's two packs for £20 at Halfords at the moment.

Not suitable for everyone.
