I am building a new block shed in the summer approx 4.5x3m and 2.5m high. This is allowed under PD but the building will also form the boundary wall of our property in the rear garden. As far as I can see the max wall height for a garden allowed is 2m under PD rules. Do I have to build a 2m high garden wall and then a second 2.5m high shed wall inside this or can the boundary wall be 2.5m high as it's part of the shed?.

I'm not sure if it still applies but it used to be the case that a shed wasn't allowed under Permtted Development unless it was at least 1 metre clear of any boundary.

Has changed as far as I can work out, if within 2m of a boundary the overall height must be less than 2.5m high. (Not sure where this is measured from either? DPM???)

I am also interested in this - it would save a lot of hassle if my garage wall could also be the boundary.
