I also think this place has a great deal of simple but elegant class

Now this I like, very French in style but not OTT. Seems like a decent price as well only only 20 mins away:

Considering the amount of rooms that place has, it has a lot of photos of the garden for some reason.

This would be a bit of a Wow! if they were a little more subtle with the decoration. That garage block looks great

The first picture makes it look like a little like a later project by the architect behind Auschwitz.

I would be staggered if you could buy anything equivalent needing work and finish to the same standard for the price.
Odd place to put the cinema room?

This is charming.

14th century castle, 8 cottages, outbuildings, lovely walled garden, 20 acres and water frontage.

Seems like utter madness!

This is the only house near that value within 20 miles and its much more of a house but on a railway line this time!

A most peculiar collection of wood stores, garden stores, other stores, out houses and cabins.

Noise from the M4 really isn't an issue there and it's on a road with a lot of very large houses in the £2 - £5M range.

Not really my cup of tea though.

Not for sale at the moment but if it wasn't in NI Rory McIlroy's old house would suit me to a tee*

You could plant more trees I suppose.

Looks a good 1 mil over valued. Or more.

Very nice. Not the most convenient place to get to and from though, might have a bearing on the price. Great once you are there.

Completely agree on the decoration, but I love everything else. Quiet location but good transport links, nice bit of land, outbuildings, all the Gucci essentials, beautiful views - it would certainly do for me.

Apologies if a repost but not sure if this one has cropped up, if only for the garage.

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/prop...

edited to add a couple more that I saw elsewhere highlighted for their garages..
