It's not actually John Nash, it's a pastiche that was built in the 60's after it was bombed.

We are putting it back don't worry

Demand through the roof.
Interesting.

You've been shouting about the fact the PCL market is in the toilet for some time now, 40% drops and no buyers iirc. Doom doom and yet more tediously relentless doom.

One of your projects, though, demand through the roof.

That's utterly stunning as a conversion. Brickwork is pristine too.

My only worry is that it might 'echo'...
And in the Winter it will need about a dozen industrial space heaters constantly on the go...
I have never seen a church conversion that I have liked, always look like they will cost a fortune to heat and awkward window heights leading to odd storey heights, not for me.

Two teir market it appears. Top top end is fine and selling at asking, bottom end I'm giving 20% discounts

Looks amazing as it is.
Put it back as how it was supposed to look when Sir John Nash designed it.

Not a facade retention it's been knocked down already.

Not sure if this has been flagged yet but for those who also watch Grand Designs one of the former properties is now available for sale.

If its been for sale for a while I suspect there may be fairly arduous and costly issues with English Heritage. I have heard, but can't substantiate, that on a grade 1 listed house that if they want repairs/restoration done you more or less have to say yes and don't get a lot of say regarding the cost. I'd imagine a scheduled ancient monument would be an order of magnitude more onerous.
Shame as it doesn't seem a lot of mmoney for 7000 sq ft. I'd love it.

Drove past it this evening. There did seem to be some facade retained in Portland Place though.

For what it is, that is incredibly well priced.

Imagine if it was in Surrey or Bucks it would be £6m plus

Lol. I looked at it and thought - 'Hmmm, still quite strong money'.
To be fair, calling that place Skipton is like calling High Wycombe London.
It's as close to Colne (which is a proper dump) as it is Skipton.
I think it's too much for the area, but it is an absolute stunner, nonetheless.

It's been on with that agent since March.

I wonder if you weren't fussed about location and had a million pounds to spend the abosolute biggest reduction you could secure for a quick, cash sale.

An awful lot of properties in the £1.5 - £2.5 million bracket have been on the market an age.

It'd be interesting to find one and test the sellers resolve.

Everybodies circumstances are different of course but there must be some which would just want it gone.

The house is nothing special (like the hobbit hole though) , but the car collection is quite impressive. The owner obviously thinks it will help sell the house....
