Found a couple nice ones on today's walk.

Also a converted windmill but I can't find it

This wasn't it but nearby would be a good project

I am not normally a fan of new builds but for some reason I like this, especially the high ceilings in the the kitchen area. It also well laid out with generous room sizes. It could do with a bit more land and garaging but apart from that I like

Brilliant, I absolutely love that. I'm a huge fan of high ceilings, one of the most important things to me when house shopping.

I love that. Seems very narrow. Also seems cheap for London.

beautiful house but still over-priced imho. I used to live in that area, about half a mile away from this house, for like 7 years. central area, and etc.. but still can not justify that price-tag! rolleyes

Too far east for HS2 I'd have thought, and in a similar vein handy for Donny and Retford for fast connection to KX

I've often wondered about this as well. Lincolnshire in particular feels quite cheap for what you can get. Anyone live there who can comment?

Yes, not a bad location actually, bit of a drive to Doncaster but not too bad. My only concern would be it's very low and there is a very big river not too far away. Don't ever remember that area flooding but if it wasn't for the Dutch it would be under about ten feet of water iirc.

There has been talk of flooding, but I don't think it's ever actually happened. Used to live in Haxey. Nice village, odd bit of Yokalage, Doncaster is 30 mins. Public transport is non-existent to real purposes. Epworth provides decent local takeaways etc.

Values are lower than Doncaster... Obviously...!

We have recently sold a house around 15 miles away and have been looking in area for our next home.

There is a substantial price difference between even North and South Nottinghamshire never mind over the border in Derbyshire where prices seem very expensive in comparison.

Our new house in Derbyshire (we hope) is probably a third in size but is priced 50% more than the one we have just sold.

We have put the difference down to the usual factors, schooling and employment. Plus there is usually nothing surrounding you but cabbage fields in North Notts!

See these mental Colorado homes, when there's THAT much space around them, what's stopping folk buying a few acres (or Ha's!) and building their own?
It must be less money to do it that way, surely?
