Who on earth has £375k in the Isle of Bute to spend on that!?Max M4X WW said:
That belongs (belonged?) to the founder of Pets at Home. I gave a sales pitch there a few years back when I was selling pet products online.Too niche, and not enough margin for them sadly....

I have had my beady eye on this for decades. No danger of affording it, of course.

I'm sure it was delightful when you last saw it, but that kitchen is inappropriate for that property.http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...
It should be possible to replace the character that the current owners have spent so much effort removing.

I'm not sure what character you think is missing.

Needs a bit of work, which is why it's on for £350k. It's not even a terrible area, though not exactly becoming because it's surrounded by 20th century housing. The ad says cash buyers only, but there's nothing to indicate why it's unmortgageable. It also says in the brochure that the buyer needs to have sufficient resources to renovate.
"principle bathroom". Argh. What principles does a bathroom uphold then? Cleanliness is Godliness?http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Sadly, you don't need any qualifications to be an EA....I've viewed properties with "High sealings", "Paddox" and one with a "Master bedroom sweet", as well as principle dining rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. I've also seen places with a "staple complex", "garageing" and even a "crocket lawn".

Wonder what the two cars are? Probably a 250gto and an old bugatti or something
£2.5m on the house, £500k doing it up? Probably not too unreasonable for such a location.
A dream house for me www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-666...

"Bathroom, formally a stable" is an almost ubiquitous error for estate agents. It'd be far more remarkable to see one use 'formerly'.I've viewed properties with "High sealings", "Paddox" and one with a "Master bedroom sweet", as well as principle dining rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. That will do.
Have to say though - given the nightmares my boss is having with restoring his Grade II listed pile in Hampshire, I never want to won a listed building.
The price of custom sized bricks in the correct mix and colour, for example. Eye-watering. Finding a stonemason - impossible. etc, etc.

Perhaps less restoration with this one.
