I'm not usually a fan of modern stuff, but really like that.

You'd have Des Lynam for a neighbour.

This could be even better with a bit of an sympathetic update inside. The grounds are fantastic!

This could be a fun/ruinous project. 5,500sqft ex-school in E Sussex for £900K.

What a shame a house like that has been reduced to such a tiny plot.

I love that style of house, and the size is spot on too. Do up the 2 bed annex first and move in. Do up the main house, move in, have annex as a short term let for people visiting for a week or more, and the top floor for guests of a couple of nights. Gym in the basement.

I'd like it a bit more rural, and near me. If you have the garden at the back with the trampoline as seen on the satellite view, I think it would be big enough. It would probably need something sympathetically garage like, as the store sounds a bit small.

I'm a big fan of the style as well. Won't find many grander places in commuting range of London for under a million (um, pre-renovation). I could live with the garden - looks as if you could make it feel a lot bigger by removing hedges etc. I also like the fact that it's vaguely urban as I'm too weedy for isolation.

Biggest downer is the train service. Once an hour to London Bridge and last train home at 11pm.

This would do for me and not far away. Barn conversion with 3 acres and another barn for cars. Bit of work to do externally but generally looks good.

Im about £100k short which is annoying or I would be going for a viewing!

Its right under the flight path though but I could probably live with it.

You might be OK, because I think they take off the other way, so the planes coming over you might be quieter.

The proximity to Gatwick, coupled with fact that I think it's horrible, rule me out of the running for this one, so help yourself. smile

They switch direction depending on wind I think. Not exactly sure of the reasons but they defo take off both directions.

The barn is the bit I like! But if I bought it I wouldnt have anything left for cars for a few years anyway.....

Sadly, you don't need any qualifications to be an EA....

I've viewed properties with "High sealings", "Paddox" and one with a "Master bedroom sweet", as well as principle dining rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. I've also seen places with a "staple complex", "garageing" and even a "crocket lawn".
"Bathroom, formally a stable" is an almost ubiquitous error for estate agents. It'd be far more remarkable to see one use 'formerly'.
My favourite was seeing an ad referring to the excellent local transport infillstructure.
I can't wait to move into our new place and try out the "large dinging room"

I love a good ding, preferably just after dinner.

Here's one I used to live in...

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

My father rented this when he moved to Leeds in the 60's: the gardens were bigger then as they hadn't been built on and the division of the property has been re-jigged because we had the ground and first floor facing the garden and this flat offers just the ground floor. I have some great memories of sliding down the bannisters there.

Having a next door neighbour with tractors and landrovers has it's advantages. It certainly would offend me less than being wedged between the A31 Hogs Back & A3 Guildford Bypass
