It'll be gone by the time you move in, don't worry about it!

That is lovely! But way above my pay grade (despite being a powerfully built company director!). If the Lotto happens for me that is a definite maybe. Subject to conversation with SWMBO of course!

They're maving a lot of that view, as well they should. At least the owner has a decent taste in cars...

It looks like I may have gone off a bit early with that post, what with this being available literally just across the river-let inlet thingy... It's a plot, with a steam train line at the bottom of the garden, but it would do very nicely...

Yes, it's the plot.

I know what you mean, but really, how many people spending £6m on a house find it on RightMove / Zoopla? hehe

It's annoying for us browsers, but unlikely to make a material difference to the people who can afford these places...

Just round the corner from me, and stunning. We walk in the Glen behind this at times and often admire the houses in these streets from behind.

They should be shot for crimes against original stone walls:

Not as grand as many on here but notable because:

a) I lived there as a teenager
b) Big garage/workshop
c) WTF have they done to it?

Who thinks "I know what will enhance this dining room, shiny dirty pink walls" or "What this radiator needs is a gingham cover"

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

There's a decently sized, well proportioned house hiding under all that 'Changing Rooms' tat, but it's changed a bit since I lived there.

I would want to put pigs in the "storage" areas too.

I agree, it's been very decorated, but nothing a few weekends worth of work couldn't put right.

Nice big rooms, whilst still being able to feel like a family home.

Bonkers layout. Why access the bedroom from the landing in the traditional manner when you can stick a utility room in the way so you have to go through that.

Perfect sort of place for me, location aside. With a lick of paint I love the rooms, size of the place in general and that Courtyard/workshop is just great.

I would say that is for a live-in Nanny or Housekeeper, and the utility is in fact a small kitchen, effectively making then self contained from the rest of the house

The annoying thing is when my parents sold it, they offered my sister and I first refusal.
With a bit of a stretch I could probably have afforded it at a 'parentally subsidised' price (which they were offering to do) but I didn't want to live back in North Yorks (I was down south at the time).
Now I live in North Yorks and would kill for that amount of garaging and workshop.....

I nearly bought the house to the immediate left of the pub in Burneston. Had a look around and managed to speak to the pub landlord/owner who seemed a c**t so didn't bother putting an offer in.
