Was having a look through Reddit and spotted a link to a DIY project someone did.

It is really amazing, think its also got fish as the thing is a natural pond that he built.

Bit of creativity goes a long way and I wonder how much it is to keep clean compared to normal swimming pool type thing.

I think they call them Natural swimming pools.

Most look more like a pond than that one - once I've finished the house, I think I'll dig one.

There's currently a series on Discovery channel, not to sure about the director/production of show to watch the entire series, although the end result is amazing.

A pal of mine has one of these, and it looks very much more like a pond than a pool. Really natural, and their kids love it. It wasn't cheap though.

Nice idea.

Check out the Scarlet Spa in Cornwall, they have a huge outdoor natural pool with a reed bed and some big rocks. It looks stunning and it's nice to swim in. Lots of pics on their Facebook page.
