Down here in the equatorial south east it's positively spring like.

The forecast is dry for the remainder of the week with a potential 15 degrees at the weekend!!!

Question is, providing the ground has dried up enough would you get going on the first cut of the season?

I'm thinking yes, then no, then yes, then no as the weather still has potential to turn nasty.

So what do you think?

Nearly did mine last weekend, it was only the very wet ground that stopped me.

Might seed this weekend too.

I did mine the weekend before last. Didn't actually cut much grass per se - just give it a bit of a vacuuming and re-stripe.

I've just done mine, surprised how dry the grass was, just filled the wheelie bin.

South here as well but the garden is positively drowned after recent downpours. Hopefully soon though...

First cut April(ish), once the mower has had a fettle and I've remembered to take a can along when I fill up the car.
Final cut September.

We're located on the south coast, and will probably be giving the lawn its 2nd cut this weekend.

First cut this weekend, well, more of a hoover to pick up any debris that has accumulated over the winter. First proper cut probably the following weekend.

I never cut unless there is an April in the month.
I have a lot of grass and cutting early extends the season.

Top cut, keep it high to take the tips off it. Done mine once this year before giving it some winter green up. I won't overseed until April, and I'll scarify before it to open it up.

The bowls green next to my house has probably had about 8 cuts this year already!

I opened the gate today and let the rabbit in. Little fluffy loving the long fresh grass at the moment so I'll let it grow a little more as she gets miffed when you cut it.

Think I need to borrow back the rotary we gave to next door before letting loose with the cylinder.
