Cordless drill recommendations
Discussion
The batteries for my Erbauer drill seem to have died a death, each will now only power the drill for about 1 minute even when fully charged
Doesn't look like I can get hold of replacement batteries, so I'm in the market for a new drill.
DIY duties, not everyday use.
Two batteries preferable
A 13mm chuck or bigger.
What recommendations?

This topic has been done recently but you can’t go wrong with this. I have had mine for 3 years.

That's my drill too. Nice bit of kit and feels good in the hand with a nice balance. Mine did die on about the 18 month mark but was repaired no quibble despite me not taking out the (free) extended warranty online.http://www.screwfix.com/p/hitachi-dv18dgl-jc-18v-1...
I ended up with the 19v Lithium powered DeWalt drill/driver.
I'm sure someone will come along and say there is better out there, for the money, but they must be fantastic bits of kit as the DeWalt is IMHO, brilliant.
But then my last drill was a rubbish, heavy NiCad powered piece of Chinese rubbish so anything was going to be an improvement.

I also bought a dewalt 18v with 2 batteries about 3 years ago and it is perfect and cooler than the hitachi so it wins regardless of what hitachi owners say.

I'd recommend going for Li-Ion over Ni-Cd as the battery is much smaller and lighter.
I have this and it's fantastic - http://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dcd776c2-gb-18v-1... The Hitachi looks much the same, so either one of these would be a safe bet.
I never get my full sized hammer drill out any more, and my old 14v Black & Decker NiCd cordless hasn't been used since either.

From what I've read before, the usual consensus seems to go something like this ...
Money no object: Festool, Hilti
High quality: Makita, Bosch (blue), Milwaukee, Metabo
Decent Quality: DeWalt, Hitachi and one or two others
OK: Bosch (green) and various others
However, there's plenty of PHers in the trade, who will be far more knowledgeable than me.
For DIY, I'd consider an 18v combi drill or, if you can afford it, a Makita 4-function combi drill / impact driver.
