How do I find out if a property has had subsidence?

I'm about to insure a property, it may have had issues with subsidence however there is no documentation, just hearsay. Is there an insurance data base or similar that will tell me?

Have you had a report done on the property? In well over 90% of cases you can't hide the effects of subsidence in sagging and mis-aligned brickwork.
