Make a bookcase from the oak boards. smile I think the problem will be them coming away from the wall rather than the bracket failing.

I've used these a few times from B&Q's kitchen dept... for microwave shelves etc

Nice looking and heavy duty, not that expensive but will add up if you need a few.

If the wood is thick enough, why not consider the special brackets for 'floating shelves'?
If you can get long screws into the solid wall behind you should be fine. You will need to drill holes and chisel out small rebates in the back of the shelves. The effect is very good.

I used https://www.bespokenature.co.uk/oak-floating-shelv... but they don't do thinner than 25 mm so I guess 20mm is too thin for these brackets. Shame.

If looks are not paramount, or they're hidden, then you can't beat 'spur shelving' for strength & durability.
