Their appointed PWS has now declared himself out for some reason, not sure if it was anything to do with the connection explained above but I dare say another one will pop up some time soon.

Luckily for you Daz, the Act allows your appointed surveyor to act for both owners so just ask the building owner if he is happy to appoint your party wall surveyor too. Job done.
