Roller Blind Fitting - blind too short!
Discussion
I've managed to buy a roller blind 1cm too short for the gap it's supposed to go in (window recess is not square, measured at wrong point)!
The simplest solution I can see is to just pack out the fixings on either side by about 8mm (giving 1.6cm total to allow the blind to sit snugly).
Can anyone suggest a very simple/easily available material to do it with - ideally something I can find around the house, as what should have been a 10 minute job now looks like a 10 minute job, plus an hour round trip to the DIY store plus fiddling time getting whatever material I choose into the right shape!
The fixings are shown below, I will be fixing it to the wall using the two holes (one circular, one elongated circle) on the side of the fixing.
Thanks for any help offered!

Screw brackets to the window frame. Better fixing in any case, assuming they're wooden.
Thanks, but they're PVC/plastic. I could screw the brackets into new holes in the top of the window recess of course and have them properly spaced for the short blind, but I know from past experience that my (1930s) walls seem to be made of cheese - it's very difficult to get a nice clean hole exactly where you want it and very easy to end up with a massive crater instead.
There already happens to be holes with wall plugs on the sides of the window recess exactly the right space apart where a former owner fitted a blind, so I'm dead set on using these if at all possible. I just need something to pack the brackets out a bit?
I always screw into the UPVC frame. Never had an issue doing this, and it seems to hold better than the walls anyway!
Other alternative is to mount it into the top, rather than sides, of the window opening. They've done this at work. You'll need good rawl plugs for this though, and may run into issues if you have a concrete lintel.
