Silestone Quartz is what it says man made based on epoxy and Quartz dust 95% Quartz , silestone one is a Spanish manufacturer
We have just fitted it in our kitchen, it's great only real thing you need to be careful of is hot pans direct from hob
Looks great feels nice we used Rockamdco Hertford UK.

We're very happy with http://igranite.co.uk/ after 5 years. We chose real granite but they do all the man-made equivalents too. I love wood but wouldn't dream of using it for a kitchen worktop, concrete might be fun but all the plastic equivalents look naff imo and seem to cost more than the real thing.
