Gloucester? The factory I visited was in Stockport.
Their web site says Gloucester.http://www.dekkowindows.com/about-us/
We are after some new windows for the front of our house and really like the R9 but was put off by the cost as we were quoted double vs a Rehau upvc unit
We are close to pulling the trigger and getting the standard UPVC installed but if we can get close for the R9 it would be a no brainer
Might try Dekko if they will deal direct and are relatively speaking cheap?
We are Manchester / Cheshire based so Stockport ideal

You have some tall windows and I have nothing that could compare apart from French doors. so here is a flavour:
1700x1350 616.46
460x1320 = 212.51
630x1320 = 197.28
660x1320 = 250.58
3120x1470 = 1061.44
Hi,
I came across this thread after googling info on residence 9 windows. So I registered in order to ask some more questions.
I'm considering these windows for our flat that we are refurbishing. It currently has aluminium windows that we'd like to replace. Because the flat is in a conservation area, the council wants us to use timber. We did some research and we came across residence 9, as well as another one called ultimate rose, that seem to be practically indistinguishable visually from timber, and much better functionally, durability-wise and more cost effective. So we need to decide between the two (or other similar ones) and then convince the council that it's an upgrade to our current ones that is worth going for. Has anyone used such windows in a conservation area?

Not personally, but I know they were used (or their equivalent) in the conservation area of Letchworth Garden City, where we lived before moving just over a year ago. Not only that but they also had to satisfy the Heritage Foundation and they are worse than the conservation officer!I think they used Evolution Storm Flush.

We considered them for our self build. Even went up to a factory which makes them as they were happy to deal direct. Went with hardwood in the end, but it was a very close call. PM me if you want the details of the manufacturer I was in touch with.
Hi, hope you don't mind me asking, just wondering where the factory is that you went to that made the residence 9 windows. Thanks for your help 😊Ladyjx said:

Thanks for your help ??We've just had / are still having (long story but not relevant to the R9 windows) R9 windows installed. Our installer is part of the Veka network so you might find your local Veka point of contact also fits the R9 windows.
Where are you based?
If in Cheshire, I can put you in touch with a manufacturer and an installer who has done all of our front so far. He is coming back to measure up for a conservatory and back windows and doors on sat
We went for English Oak with Black Monkey Tails - they look impressive!
