I’ve set up my Flymo 1200R for its 3rd season but I’m having problems with the dreaded flashing blue light.
Thinking I might have to rewire the garden, I twiddled about with the left plug and the light went green and all was good until Mowbie went back into its charger and it seemed to knock the connection again and back to flashing blue.
I managed to get it green again but for last couple of days no joy, I’ve cut bits off, rejoined, but it’s not going green.
Does anyone know of a sure-fire way of connecting the cable to the charger?
The wee purple things are awful and the base I have is different to others I’ve seen on YouTube, mine are connected horizontally and all 3 plugs sit side by side and VERY close to each other.
It’s very annoying as I can’t see why it’s not working as connection look fine!

Aren't the purple things just like spade connectors. You can buy them at any car spares shop but ideally will need a crimper.Thinking I might have to rewire the garden, I twiddled about with the left plug and the light went green and all was good until Mowbie went back into its charger and it seemed to knock the connection again and back to flashing blue.

Darn it.....after a solid couple of years, our Landroid M is grumbling about being 'outside operating area'.
Suggests to me there is a break in the cable somewhere...but there is zero evidence of any animal action around the perimeter wire.
Maybe need to dig around the base station a bit....which itself is tricky since I built a 'garage' for him!
Also optimistically says "press '0' to reset" - naturally, pressing 0 is doing nothing.

It's good practice to cut the wire back a couple of cm every year anyway to ensure that you have a good connection.
If that doesn't help then connect up around 20m of wire in a circle and put the mower inside the new wire.
If he's happy then you know that you have a problem with the old wire somewhere.
Reconnect the old wire to the charging station and go round the edge of the lawn with an AM radio.
You should be able to detect any break fairly easily.

Not sure I have an AM radio....this one could run'n'run (this is a home we let out, we are only visiting for a few days to get ready for the season!!)
Thanks for the reply!

Will have to investigate AM radios.
We were thinking of extending the run. Maybe I need to rip it all up and lay a longer wire. Unfortunately no time on this visit....gonna have to get the human gardener mowing again: Bah
My turn to add a tale of woe...
Awoke the Flymo 1200R out of hibernation this afternoon, the grass was saying it was about time. Changed the blades (had a mare with one of them, the screw snapped clean off, found that I could drive the captive nut out so I replaced it with another). Set it to mow, and it's now making more noise than something with a Briggs & Stratton engine. MrsC could hear it indoors with the doors and windows closed. When I sent it home, i.e running just the wheel motors, it was back to near-silence. I checked that nothing is fouling with the new blades and it doesn't seem to be, so I'm wondering whether the cutter motor bearing(s) have gone home/gone rusty over winter.
Anyone know whether those are replaceable?

Just got the flymo easilife back out. Opened the app to find it has all changed, and has no products connected.
Can’t get the app to pair with the mower, has anyone else had this?
Only thing I can think to do is reset all settings on the mower itself?
I had the new app which meant a reconnection. Try doing a full reboot. If not then reset user settings. Can’t get the app to pair with the mower, has anyone else had this?

Just got the Flymo out again. Noted the new app. I had no issues re pairing. Aesthetic of the app and functionality seems to be a bit better but not drawing any conclusions just yet.
Was surprised to see the battery still at 99% which was good.
My lawns a mess after the winter. Hope this starts improving the condition soon...

I’ve just had the same thing. Looked to be working yesterday, go back in the app today and it’s missing. Went out to the mower and it claims it’s had a low battery, but it’s sat in the dock.
It’s returned to the setup screen, but when I run through the setup on the mower it won’t accept any pin that I enter, just keeps saying pin not accepted no matter what I try.
I guess the next step is battery out?
