We used Crown trade counter and custom mix. Worked well for us, and decorator had no complaints.

I've used dulux from b&q (retail paint) and dulux trade diamond hard from dulux decorators merchant themselves. The diamond hard stuff was £130/10l so incredibly expensive. No different in application and coverage from the retail paints and gets dirty pretty quickly. I'd just get regular paint

If it's white or maggy then I just use McPhersons - works well me

There you have it, there are dozens more you could add to a list and you would still be none the wiser.
Put all the contenders in a tombola drum and pull one out.biggrin

We're currently using Screwfixes Leyland Magnolia paint to paint all the rooms in our house (and have white for the ceilings) as w've just moved in and it is really good, even with one coat it had really good coverage.

Couldn't say how it compares to the other suggestions, but we are very happy with it. Thanks for alerting me, I think i'll be getting some more with that offer on!

find a proper decorators merchant in your local town and buy whatever they recommend. In my experience it may cost a few quid more than the DIY sheds but it will be so much easier to work with.
