I'd like to set up some coloured spot lights in the garden to illuminate a few trees and shrubs. I can spur of the garage circuit for the power, but I don't really know where to start when it comes to spot lights or controllers. LED would be good for energy efficiency, but that's as far as I've got. Anyone got any tips or recommendations?

We have three of these in the garden, two of them are wired into the garage and one to an external socket. They are absolutely brilliant and work via an IR remote control.

Dont make it too bright and don't leave the lights on all night log as its not ideal for wildlife who prefer the dark.

I used outdoor water proof fluorescent light fittings laid on the ground below the level of the decking.

Give a nice light when out in the garden of an evening.
