That is a wedged mortice and tenon joint.
As mentioned above, a proper joint!

A wedged mortice tenon has to come right through otherwise you wouldn't get the wedges in, you can get stub mortice and tenon joints but that looks wedged. It's perfectly normal to see this on a good quality external door, it's slighlty unusual on a internal door, it's not something I'd loose sleep over though, it's usually a sign of better quality.

This, the others will have a stuck on foredges covering the joints, this one's been planed back too far.If you really want it neatened, you could have a go at taking off even more and sticking a strip back on, but you'll get into a mess with handle etc. as they're already fitted. Far easier to live with than to remedy I'd say.
