One of the reasons I haven't sold my P38 Range Rover, with the seats down you can get loads of stuff down the tip. For large amounts of mud and rubble i get a grab lorry in - small amounts go into dustbins and go in the back of the rangie.

I pay £137.40 + vat for a 8m builders skip, or £150+ vat for a 10m. it still broke my heart when I had to pay my account last week of just over £3k

£180 for a 8yd skip in south Cheshire.

Ringing around might get an even better price, but I find the biggest issue is getting the skip company to pick the bcensoredy thing up afterwards.

Don't go with the cheapest- go with the best service

you might save yourself £40-£50 by going with the cheapest but you'll have all sorts of hassle getting them to do their job.

the better guys will deliver and take away within hours of the phonecall

Blimey, private skips are expensive. We pay £450 for a 40 yard roll off!

Ouch.

I pay 140 for an 8 yarder.

A mate of mine wouldn't even pay that when he did his house up. Bought a volvo estate for 500. did 30+ tip runs with the thing maxed out and sold it for 700 when done.

We have a similar setup, £140 cash for a 8yrd, no questions no receipts and always the same driver funnily enough,

And if that's not dodgey enough I have to order it through the tiler I use laugh

grab hire normally works out cheaper for me but depends what you want to put in it. Last builders skip I had year ago was £150 but took an age for them to pick it up.

I am about to refurb my house and I am thinking of buying a second hand skip off Ebay so I dont have to keep getting skips delivered.

Possibly try that?
