About £230 here

A grab lorry may work out cheaper if it is rubble and you can store it loose.

I am about to refurb my house and I am thinking of buying a second hand skip off Ebay so I dont have to keep getting skips delivered.

Possibly try that?
But how would you empty it/dispose of what's in it to use again?

The majority of the cost is collection/delivery and waste recycling charges - the amortised cost of the physical skip the company will charge you in is next to nothing in comparison to the above

doesnt sound too bad, but I'd always get bigger then you think you need since you always find more crap to throw in it then you originally intend. Plus every scrote and his dog will throw crap in it when you're not looking.

Yes I'm talking to you random phantom c*** who threw a boiler and half a kitchen suite into mine....

8 yard skip from the council is just over £150 when I had one a few months ago, started charging vat now too but didn't before.

When I was renovating my house, I was spending on skip hire weekly and it turned out cheaper to buy an old Galaxy, garage the seats and use it as a tip Van, £600 purchase, bugger all 3rd party and £250 for trade in against something else at the end of six months abuse.

Eta - Brenda (wife gave it that name) on skip duty

8 yard skip in Cumbria. 4 quotes, each one was £350 including VAT. Something stinks.

In the end hired a van and a couple of trips to the tip, £55 rent + £15 of diesel. Job done.

In Windermere, pay between £220-£250 for an 8
