Just fitted a new LG Fridge (model GSL760PZXV_SS for anyone interested) that is leaning back quite a long way.

Photo:

LG tell me this is "within specification" but couldn't give me the specification when asked.

Does this look acceptable or am I just being unreasonable?

Are there not legs on the bottom to adjust the level?

No - at the front of the fridge there are 2 things that look like legs, however they're actually to adjust the height of the doors.

It looks like it has feet that adjust that are close to the parts that adjust the doors (on their site).

They say it should lean back here http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT100000...

They say you should lower the front if the back is too low.

I'd just pack it up at the back if it really won't adjust.

As above - pack the back up a bit with ply / plasterboard

(Check there isn't a reason that it needs to lean back)

I called LG about this as I have the same fridge freezer and they told me whatever I do don't try and level it as its supposed to be like this to assist with sealing the doors. I found it bizarre that they don't make it obvious that it was meant to tilt back

That would annoy me. Two long thin bits of hardboard required!

I pushed a bit with LG and they said that retailers often pack out the back of display models to make it look vertical on display (yes, I got caught like that!) and that it was a common complaint. Oh well.

All fridges should lean back a bit so that the door will always tend to shut - but it probably doesn't need to be quite that much. Some hardboard under the back will sort it.

Not having a go at you, but why can't the manufacturers install hinges which self close and allow the damn fridge to be level. It would really hack me off if my fridge did that. Infact damnit, mine DOES do that. Arse. What has been seen.....

I put a piece of ply under the rear of my Zanussi under-counter fridge to assist with sliding it into place without ripping up the floor covering. This has resulted in it tipping forward very slightly so that the door swings open if not closed properly. Not sure if I'm ever going to bother to adjust the front legs to level it.

Your extractor fan's not straight either, so it's kind of like a matching pair

That photo needs to go in the 'Things that make your teeth itch' thread! laugh

I wouldn't live with that, get some thin packing under the back.

I have a very similar LG fridge, that also leans back slightly.

More annoyingly for me though is that the fridge isn't level side to side, in the fact that when I open the door the whole things rocks slightly, only ever so slightly, but enough to annoy me as for the size of the thing I shouldn't be able to move it without considerable force.

I like it. It has a purpose. I'm going to see if I can jack up the front of mine a little as sometimes the door stops short of closing.

I have a feeling this fridge is built in the same factory as the Neff one. Utterly useless and can't be levelled. On a kitchen install the Customer supplied the appliance, Neff sent three out and finallly an engineer. It wasn't until the engineer couldn't do anything to get it level that the customer finally accepted we couldn't do anything with it either. Utter tat.

OP there will be adjustable feet somewhere at the front and one at the back which you adjust from the front with a socket. 'Money on it, the rear foot adjuster breaks whilst adjusting.

I'm baffled by why (as someone who fits kitchens) you wouldn't be able to level it?

Ours is Maytag and has rollers at the back which I think have a small amount of adjustment from the front, but they had to roll it back onto pads to get it right.
