Morning all,

Our kitchen is about 8 years old now and whilst nearly all of it is holding up just fine, just one of the door handles has inexplicably gone all manky - bad lacquer perhaps.

Anyway, as the kitchen was fitted by the builders before we moved in, we have no idea what the make or name of any of the fittings are. Can anyone identify the handle please, and where to find it if it is still in production? Thanks!

B&Q maybe?

I had that same thing happen on the kitchen door handle. So I just cleaned it with (thinners I think?) to get all the lacquer off and just polished it. Then re lacquered it with a spray can I had in the garage. It looked the cats nipples after that.

Looks like 'Bounty' kitchen roll.

Not sure if this information is helpful.

Pretty standard design, I think.

Might not be exactly the same, but doubt anyone would notice.

You'll have to measure it to find the right match, but there should be loads of choice.

Exactly the same design as mine from Howdens of the same age. Got a few spare in different lengths, what size do you need?

Having taken a closer look, the end pieces on yours are slightly shorter.

Slagathore's and Mgtony's are much thinner. The ends of the IKEA ones are different.

OP, I have exactly the same handles as you, 2008 vintage and they came from MFI.

(which is no help as they went bust shortly afterward!)

Just swap it for one in a position that's not quite so in your face? Bottom Drawer, even the bottom haf of the FF?

Just gone and measured mine - they are 438mm long, 405mm between screw centres, the square end bits are 23mm wide. They are brushed nickel or stainless steel, I can't tell which.

Does that match anyone who has posted with the same in their house?

This will be only slightly helpful. I think the door handle is from a German kitchen unit manufacturer whose name escapes me. We used the same handles when we had a kitchen fitted about 12 years ago and have several spares. Unfortunately I can't recall the name of the manufacturer and am currently abroad and won't be home before April. If you can wait until then.......
