The light for the downstairs toilet has arrived, but the instructions may as well be in Chinese. In fact they probably contain more Chinese than English.

Anyway the light casing is metal so it needs an earth and the wire is supplied. I presume that the earth wire in my hand goes round one of the screw ends of the capping plate thing in my hand but where does the loose end then go?

I've searched the Internet but no clear answer . I should probably know this but don't so take pity...ta.

Ta I did wonder that but the chocolate bloc of the previous light only had two sections. There is an earth wire coming out of the wall - can I use a single electrical connector and connect the earth coming out of the wall to the earth wire from the light ?

Sounds stupid but this frigging light has incomprehensible instructions and I'm not confident it's double insulated so would rather check..

Yeah no problem like that, be sure to get the looped part against the bare metal and not a painted metal area. (Egg sucking?)
