Top hinged windows in UK
Discussion
I want to fit a top hinged window to my kitchen to create a serving hatch and bar on the other side for use in summer.
But I've called my local window fitters and no-one does them. Can anyone recommend a company to source this from?
Couple of pics to show what I'm looking for, just the window.

Just get a side opening one and turn it through 90°.
You can then add some gas rams and bracketry to suit, once you know the weight.

Doubt it would conform to building Regs, but does that matter in this instance ?

Amazon also have a wide range of Gas Struts. They are cheap enough (£2-3) that you can buy a few for trial and error to get the right strength.
Worked very well for me in sorting out some nice big wooden toy boxes!

Thanks for the link, just gave them a call and salesperson is going to find out if the top swing window can be opened a full 90 degrees. Is that the model you went for? Did you add some struts yourself?sealtt said:

The window construction would allow for 90 degree opening - mine goes to 45 on the standard hinges. But could be easily modified to suit your requirements.sealtt said:

Were you able to sort this out? I have found myself on the same search, with no success...But I've called my local window fitters and no-one does them. Can anyone recommend a company to source this from?
