It's almost as if they believe the complete mis-match of styles makes it unique.

The only way to save it on the cheap without knocking anything down would be to paint the front white, paint the extension cream at the front or render and paint the back.

A almighty shambles as it currently stands

And even if you did ‘save it’, it still wouldn’t be worth anywhere near £875k.

It probably does make it unique - just not in a desirable way.

Mental. Why did they think that looks good? It looks like they've turned a detached house into a semi and one neighbour has gone for a crazy upgrade.

I imagine they were mesmerised when the architect used the word "juxtaposition"

My contribution for today, from my home town. You shall likely think 'nothing wrong with that'..... but.... clock the extension on the left of pic 1? Probably the least sympathetic extension I've ever seen. I guess pic 12 is from the inside of it.

The view from the road, which they weren't so keen to put on the particulars.....
(mind, look at that early evening sky for October!)

I'd put good money on whoever buys it negotiating a discount to flatten the extension.

They'll probably sell the extension to someone for re-use whom may then sell it on for re-use it to rebuild a new porch on your neighbours house, KermitTF and SS

/2018 Russian ID mode on, off, in our shake it all about...........

A good memory you have, and yes, that would class as an even less sympathetic extension. His latest is that he is now waiting until spring to submit plans for that. I saw his sister a few weeks ago, she bought it up and says she thinks it's crazy.

And although now changed, it was FermitTK and SS wink

And thank fk it did. Now stop saying shall in every sentence instead of will or would or whatever - exactly as you've been told many times - and you might join the ranks of posters worth listening to.

I'm not quite sure what provoked that vitriol.

Someones tag handle on a random corner of the internet upsets you so, wow.

Er, ok. Not really vitriol, and something that's been said many times in any case, but the misuse and over-use of shall is what actually gets my goat rather than what you call yourselves.

It's a very random detail to take beef at. The way I use words is the way I use them, we all have our ways with them, and I've never pretended to be Wordsworth.

Oh, and for the record, it was just you and two others IIRC who have historically taken issue with my grammar. No fker 'tells' me anything, so get off your soap-box petal.

So, thinking about it, that is what it so was, when now I look back. Also, I now shall have to remember in future not to call you that. The only Kermits that shall remain so, in my life, will be the management where I work and of course, the 1970s puppets.

I don't know (or care) whether I'm one of the others but I'll support CdG here. Your ridiculous and inappropriate over-use of "shall" is mildly irritating, in that it makes your posts slightly more difficult to read, but it also indicates either someone trying far too hard to appear clever, or someone who is , well, a bit silly. Which you may not be, but that's how it looks.

Were there such a tool as an English to Fermit translator and I ran my paragraph above through it, it would probably say:

Maybe now you can see why people mention it?

It looks like those static caravans the travelling community have on their legally questionable concrete sites. They add a fence or fake bricks along the bottom to make it look my 'homely and permanent.
