I don't think that property is worthy of this thread. It is a little bland and overpriced but not really a nightmare

Most of it's okay, nice sitting room for gran, bedrooms.....well you'll have your eyes closed mostly. Is that some sort of ethnic celtic tartan in the bathroom?

It'd make a comfortable family house.

That was interesting going through the pictures - '3 bedrooms so far...2 bathrooms...a building site...and a mud bath'.

Near me and I just don't know what to say. Big big house for the neighbourhood but so small that they put the gym equipment in the lounge? I've seen some of the people that live there and I wouldn't want to watch any of them on the exercise bike whilst watching the TV. And upstairs is a separate flat but you're paying €1.5 million to have upstairs neighbours and as this is France they're almost impossible to kick out. Our house in a similar French village is half the size but about 15% of the price.

AGENT'S COMMENTS "A fantastic rural location with great bridle walks."

How could you even think about paying a fee to these people?

That looks like one of the houses the Mafia use in Gomorrah. Appreciate this is in France but dodgy Italians have similar tastes!

This is being built next to my brother's house, nestled amongst largely Victorian and Edwardian properties. There are some 'contemporary' properties in the area, which are quite nice. To my tastes however this seems totally unsympathetic to the area, and pretty ugly in it's own right.

No wonder it's got a huge plant room - it will overheat like nobody's business...

An car other than a serious offroader will ground out on that garage approach.

Difficult to comment without the surrounding context.

Me too. I was expecting a horror but it's not bad.

This has to be a contender for the most soulless extension as it takes in the entire house. Take a reasonable looking bungalow and turn it into a garage block. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

This is the original design, (the one for sale is in the background unmodified here)

Not only that but that's RIDICULOUSLY strong money for that area.

No, being built on a plot of land which was previously undeveloped and part of a garden - https://goo.gl/maps/6xVUdkUshcG2

Less of a nightmare more of a horror and I don't just mean the price.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/commercial-property-fo...

(last week, obv) "Hey kids, it's Halloween lets call at that old house. I think I can see a light on"

And just like all the classic horror film houses it's in a neighbourhood not out alone by itself in the country.
