That roof terrace with massive sides.

How utterly bizarre.

And the bed wtf.
The house is centre of the screen, the only one with the dark grey pyramid roof at the front, scroll around with CTRL and mouse and see the roof terrace, seems a common thing on that side of the road. - https://www.google.com/maps/@51.5564715,-0.0875431...

That looks on the Luxembourgish side of the border to me?

I pass this most days, sits along a main road. Not quite a nightmare, but not great.

I find it a peculiar house, because I personally find it fits into the catergory of "money can't buy taste". A small fortune has been put into renovating it, but the styling is a bit odd, furniture looks dated, garden is tiny and astroturf and just looks cluttered. And has supposedly doubled in price since 2013.

Is the scaffolding four poster bed included in the sale? Love it!

The fenced in roof terrace accessed through a window is quite common in London, especially for top floor flats where they don't have access to the original garden, easy way to get some air and sun if the flat roof is strong enough.

I really like the floor in the hallway.

I pic 27, are those patio windows just dirty or is there a massive amount of condensation?

And therein lies the problem. Luxembourg prices for sure and arguably luxembourgish taste but very definitely on the French side of the border. Just a couple of km away and this wouldn't stand out at all but there are more and more of these cropping up in France at the moment. I don't understand the vertiginous price drop that the border imposes but that is the reality that many seem to choose to ignore.

Quite. £200k for a pokey cottage with a (no doubt) leaky flat roof and mediocre interior.

Just round the corner from me, i bet it will sell as a holiday let/bolt hole.

A converted single garage with electric only and no parking has just sold for £100k!

Like subtlety, class and elegance? I've just the place, sir. Excellent transport links too. Sorry about the pictures, I'll get a new iphone with the commission I get from the 5 MILLION POUNDS sale price. I think I'll be waiting a while though.

Good job it's handy for the A46 (a very, 4 lane trunk road)

I'm struggling to find a single thing I like about that. Even the snooker room (a complete pastiche) has a bloody pool table instead.

A bet he drives a blinged up Conti, and her a Range Sport on 26" wheels

Reduced by £50,000 since I first posted it.
Bought for £42K, renovated to a poor standard (no weed membrane under the front stoned yard, now full of weeds. Bumpy render. A side gate put up without a spirit level)
Was marketing it as a HMO - house of multiple occupancy. Knob
At £80k he should shift it. £5-10k profit, for 10 months work, by my reckoning

Serious question - is it difficult/costly to get your own private access on/off a dual carriageway?
