Some people just aren't bothered by gruesome occurrences that happened.

I know people that bought a house someone burnt to death in, a fire so intense all that was left was a charred shell and bone fragments.

It didn't bother them until they woke up to the overpowering smell of smoke lingering in the air some years later with no fire to be found they sold up soon after.

Exactly. Passing up an otherwise suitable house because it's the "murder house" or such is crazy. It's not that house that makes people criminal.

True, but I withdrew my offer on the house I originally wanted to buy when I found out a child had died there by falling from a window about 10 years previously. That affected me (given we planned on having kids) in a way that say the murder of an adult in the house wouldn't have done. Illogical perhaps I know, but it bothered me anyway.

OK, "secluded" could mean away from roads etc, but that house isn't in half-an-acre, is it?

It's not the brown tiled house, it's the one arrowed.

But I think there must be more land somewhere as this is only 0.28 of an acre

Basically, a building plot for a replacement house in a very ordinary looking area.

Bit harsh. Walton on the Hill is a nice little backwater, close to a top quality golf course and on the edge of the North Downs. I don't live there, but I can see the appeal if you don't need the train for commuting (Pfizer and Fidelity have large offices nearby)

It's hardly a "real estate nightmare", it's just another dilapidated bungalow that is ready to be knocked down and replaced with something more modern.
