It is a nice place and a good location if anyone has driven through, it's a road going through a massive village green with big houses set back a long way from the road. But it has been on the market for a long time, longer than the listed date as it get relisted. Not sure if it's because of the price, the nearby zoo (escaping Rhinos or Wallabys), tourist visitors, or proximity to Luton but something is stopping it from selling.

No idea, but might it be impacted by HS2 ?

The price is over £1.1m.

I wonder why they chose the put the picture of the front last.

Street view is even better.

Truly awful. The Milton Keynes house with the added disadvantage of being closer to the arctic circle.

I'd have recurring nightmares about being trapped in the "Breakout" arcade game if I slept in that bedroom

Just waiting for Middlesbrough FC (or, less likely, Sunderland hehe) to get promotion to the Premier League. Then it'll sell.

Sticks.

The conservatory in photo 7 doesn't look very relaxing :/ Also I'd trip over and smash that pot in the middle within 5 minutes.
True. Probably noisy from the planes going to the airfield too.

Is the airfield that noisy? Looks like a tiny place.

I'd encourage everyone to take a look around the northern part of the estate on Street View, what a bizarre place! Looks like a bad American movie set

It can be, particularly in Summer and when there's parachuting.

Yeah all those skydivers with parachutes that haven't opened screaming all the way down before thudding into the petunias I suppose could get tiresome. biggrin

This makes me laugh, big strong electric gates for security and a little fence a child can jump over - https://goo.gl/maps/r4iVq4W4o2q

Whilst i get why people may mock the place i don't actually mind it hehe I am sure once all the newly planted hedges have established around perimeters and the bright red tarmac dulls down a bit i reckon it will look alright.

Tawdry mock-Georgian architecture lacking any design finesse or quality. It’s a shame that good British architects and clients with imagination are so thin on the ground.

I know this estate quite well, a mate of mine does a lot of contract electrical work. It is part of Wynyard Hall, owned by Sir John Hall who built the Metro Centre and owned Newcastle united. Quite a few footballers lived here and Duncan Bannatyne before his Mrs cleaned him out hehe

I agree with a lot of the comments here, around this way many aspire to live here, its full of new money Richer than you snobbery types, its my worst nightmare. For the same money i would love somewhere a lot nicer.

Seems overstated. It's a couple of miles away and a tiny regional airport. I live about that distance from a major airport and its not that big a deal.

Admittedly sold a few years ago now but it belonged to the parents of an old school friend of mine. The brochure shots are just how I remember it in the early 80s

The owner had a Suffolk red Lagonda
Dear God, that interior eek
I like that! Well, not to live in, but as a bit of a curiosity to look around and admire some bygone decades style...sure!

It's in the circuit, so Summer days can mean frequent flying overhead @1k ft. Not as bad as Heathrow, but enough to affect sitting outside, or on a conservatory.
