^^ 200k. Someone's having a larf.

But the biggest question is: why did the "developer" back out of this "investment opportunity?" What did they discover...

Although it says a "recent" sale down that road was 10 years ago for £110k. On that basis, it's worth a refurb and resale surely?

Looking at the wonky garden and holes in the walls, I'd say Fred West's holiday home.

That's gotta be a £100k+ refurb though, unless we are talking serious Homes Under the Hammer style mates rates & B&Q.

A one bedroom mews house for sale, Pindock Mews, Maida Vale, London, W9. £2,500,000

A neighbourhood previously enjoyed by, " A sprinkling of celebrity residents over the years including musicians like Boy George and Marilyn as well as Janet Street Porter, Tony James of Sigue, Sigue Sputnik but none so famous, or even infamous, as The Sex Pistol’s late front man Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen."

A mews house in a nice, convenient spot in London is one of my Lottery List houses (including a ski chalet, vineyard, place with a boathouse/mooring in the Med, New York apartment, Caribbean bolthole etc etc)

Not sure I'd pay a few millions for one that needs loads of work though. a nice big garage is essential though so I can leave a car in there and have somewhere to park.

I used to be the same. But as I get older eek I feel I don't actually need one. Euromillions win dependent, I'd still live slightly out of Central London and then get Uber Luxury for the handful of times a year I go into central London in the evening. Daytime Id still take the Train/Tube so wants the point of spending a few million on a place, with all the resultant costs.

As for NYC, I'd just use nice hotels when visiting. Living there is even worse than London for costs IME!

If however, you're interested there's a (slightly poncy) estate agent that specialises in Mews stuff

Aylton Court was then leased by John Foulger, but in 1855 a terrible tragedy occurred within his family. His 12 year old son, Henry, found a gun in the house which he believed to be unloaded – in fun he pointed it at his sister Emma who was on the staircase, and shot her dead. Emma was buried at nearby Aylton church, and imagine the terrible distress of the family when shortly afterwards the grave was raided and her body was taken. Perhaps Emma’s spirit was disturbed by the grave robbers, because legend has it that she still haunts the staircase where she was shot by her brother.

I know that place too. Bought my Pimento Red TR6 from there in the early 1970's.

Saw this on twitter and thought of this thread, not the best advertisement. Going to be a nervous few hours for the owner I think....

The flood gate has been doing a sterling job all afternoon but the water continues to rise as it gets dark. This was Scar House Reservoir upstream this afternoon.

The flu is retarded, extra credit for the brick "wall" in the kitchen with the brick holes exposed at the top.

I live in Milennium Quay, can't work out why anyway would spend a million quid for a flat here! Sure, it's a lovely development, and a nice place to live, but a million quid?! Our two bed rented flat is 750k, which is far too much, despite being quite nice with a stunning view of the Wharf.

We viewed a few flats in the development at around £450k, and they were properly tiny.

700k for this - zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/52167437

Saying that, the 1.3m quid penthouse flat that was up a few weeks ago has either sold or been de-listed ...
I’ve worked in the estate for years now. The penthouse flats are on a whole other level.

2 types.
Duplex flat and single floor flat with 6-7m high ceilings with floor to ceiling glass for great views.
Everything is specked higher.
Even the skirting boards are custom made with 2 tone colours. Real wood flooring etc. Massive rooms. The master room is 8x4 meters with a his and hers bathroom. Underground parking.
Nice place but I’d still not spend that much on a flat.
