This beauty is in Kilmarnock, near Rugby Park, the home of my beloved Kilmarnock Football Club. You can see the Stadium from the garden.
(Hence my screen name!)

Looks like a 1970s guest house, proprietor Basil McFawlty.

I did think that as it's a big house with plenty of character. What I don't know is anything about the area and how much it's really going to sell for because of the Scottish offers-over system.

What I do know is that it's probably quite noisy every other Saturday.

It’s a littl OTT.

What is going on in pic 14 who on earth wants a load of family members looking down from the walls when they are on the throne.

It’s a weird mix. Exterior is quite traditional - typical Scottish domestic dormer, crow-step gables and slate and render. Then you see that interior rofl

It'll be noisy four times a year when Rangers and Celtic visit. Apart from that it'll be fine.

Our local crack den recently went on the market..

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

It's not worth half that price IMO, it's an absolute basketcase...

Been sat derelict for a couple of years, surprisingly the windows and doors are relatively new, although the glass has been smashed countless times.

It wants knocking down and the whole plot turning into an improved road junction..

That is deceptively small inside. I wonder how it came about as there is nothing like it nearby. It looks difficult to date it as well, doesn't look old enough to be that dilapidated.

Not forgetting the lamp and display cabinet with assorted china on the coffee table.

The house is saying. 'I remember when it was all fields around here'

Stick it somewhere else, anywhere really, it could be an absolute gem.

I’d say Victorian (swept heads to GF windows, recessed doorway with fanlight etc).

Yeah it's a weird plot. I've lived nearby my whole life (30 years) and it's always been pretty much like that. On Streetview you can see the 'garden' area was pretty overgrown, I'm assuming the actual plot includes all of that corner area to the one side.

The patch of grass on the other side is council land, and then next to that the plot of newer houses were built about 15-20 years ago, it used to be a really rough pub in the middle of a garvel / tarmac car park that eventually got arsoned by the local scum..

Sticks.

Yep, you get the sweep of the corner, but the other boundaries seem to be right up against the house itself. By the looks of the plan there used to be houses there, now demolished.

Good research!! I can't really remember those other houses, but as I say the pub there had a bit of a reputation.

Either way it'd be nice to finally see something useful done with the white house.
