Savills tend not to deal at the lower end of the market.

I thought....

Putney

Starts off ok

Clearly in need of some serious modernisation

erm

The 3D viewing thingy gets progressively worse. Especially when you go down to the basement self contained flat which according to the agents

"which will allow the purchaser an unusual degree of flexibility moving forward"

rolleyes

Assuming that a new buyer has unlimited funds. It's going to cost what? £1Million+ to get rid of all the obvious (and not so obvious) damp. And gut it, new doors and windows throughout, new décor, new kitchen + everything else. Probably a roof if it's in as bad a state as the whole building!

I suspect like the properties either side of it, it will be bought, demolished and some flats built there.

Do not understand how its almost 500-1m more than houses nearby that are fully renovated and they have bigger gardens, I suspect with the width you may get away with a block of flats at the end of the garden be even then I still dont see why so expensive.

Okay, not a nightmare as such - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

Internal decoration seems to have been inspired by watching too much Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

Pictures 7, 8 and 9 are what I can't get over... for almost 1/2 million pounds in a town setting, that's the extent of your outside space ? Definitely, modern houses are not for me.

Is it just me or does that estate look like it's occupied by rampant swingers.

It probably feels smaller than the photos (as the Bishop said to the actress)

It's link-detached via the garage, they're just ignoring that it also forms the end of a terrace.

The estate is probably 5 or 6 years old - them were all fields when the Google camera car was making the rounds.

does anyone else feel vaguely sad/depressed at the properties on this thread? Some of the older houses were, at some point, someone's 'castle' and their home not just a house/building and now there's barely memories left... frown

Link-detached and end of terrace? Two houses for the price of one!

Hopefully, the state the property is in gives someone with vision the opportunity to own it and bring it back to something good. smile

Ours wasn't exactly a nightmare but the decor was fairly insensitive to the period of the house and was all very randomly picked and shoddily done. It is a absolute pleasure to be able to bring it back to something more in keeping with the house and make it more homely.

Floor plan doesn't quite show the same as the picture.

Yeah that's a quirky joint. That 5cm step in the middle of nowhere would be a prick of a thing. The zig-zag kitchen, bog in the laundry room (err, utility room), tiny bathroom, entrance hall which is halfway through to the back of the house....

3 doors into the bog/until room, could get awkward.

Picture 18 belongs on the "These Pictures Make My Teeth Itch" thread.

not a property nightmare per-se (the garden is lovely and the house, seems, immaculate) - more an issue of presentation...
