Take a look at Hong Kong. Not only are the prices insane, the listings look terrible because they apparently don’t need to make an effort.

This is based on Sotheby’s site where o got the glass box NYC house.

not a property nightmare per-se (the garden is lovely and the house, seems, immaculate) - more an issue of presentation...

Surely someone could have told them to take all that junk out! It looks a perfectly reasonable house apart from that.

Sticks.

In that road there are a few new builds. So, given the seafront location, it might be sold to knock down.

You'll be able to put your own stamp on it.

Only if you fold the stamp in half first.

I guess as a bolthole for 1-2 nights per week it's not as terrible (when modernised) as it first looks. The location will always be popular and it can always provide some extra income as a holiday rental (Air B&B) when not used. Long term it'd probably be a nice little investment rather than losing money on hotels all the time.

Cash buyers only and leashold (so will have "service" charges). Probably OK for a billionaire to buy for staff but otherwise I can't see that being an "investment".

It was on Twitter the other day as well, so I'd imagine it's had a hell of a lot of viewings laugh

Occasionally Rightmove does a most viewed properties feature and there's always one that's been posted on here.

Thoughts on this one chaps. This, in a little mining village near us was sold in 2018, here
https://online.sdlauctions.co.uk/lot/details/7122

Nightmare material then, sure.

Two years (nearly) later, it's now up for sale renovated, and for sale at near 4x the cost.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

It was horrific before, but now it's incredibly unsensitive for its surroundings. I think it's awful, what about others?
