The house is nice enough but I couldn't live with that, what gets me though is the price is about par for the area, you could move one road either way and not have the pylon, astounds me people buy them

Three Hundred and forty thousand pounds.

I know it's like comparing used cars to new cars and any other silly comparisons but I can't get over what people pay for property within the M25 / SE area.

I looked through the first half dozen pictures, and thought that you were being a bit over-critical. smile
You should it just had a rather large chimney in the very first photo?!

I very much doubt they'll get that, it's priced the same as some 2 bed semis or 3 bed mid terraced round here on better roads

What I’m wondering is whether the electricity company put the pylon up after the houses were built, or whether a house builder built the houses around it?

Either way, it’s pretty impressive that at some point in the past the chair of a planning committee looked at that on a set of plans and said “Yes, looks like a good approach, everyone in agreement?”.

I don't actually know, most of that estate was built 1935 ish I think, don't know if that helps determine

There are a few other roads locally that have the same, including one with an island in the middle of the road, I'll try and dig out a streetview

I must admit I found that more offensive than the little pylon.

I like the fact they lost interest in hiding the number plates towards the end

I don't know the area, but that's a 2 month project and £40k and then it's worth more than double the guide price right?
I suspect the guide price is ballocks.

Surely that's what the current owner thought, hence the little test pots on the wall in pic 2. Then by pic 8 they've realised "fk this, far harder than I thought".

Good space, although not quite sure the outskirts of Weston-super-Mare are ready for a soon to be grand design. Probably flats for DSS in that area. Fire damage always risky.
