Smart offices...oh not wait, it's a house. - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Bizarre floorplan, fully glazed entrance hall/stairs, no popping down for brekkies in your birthday suit.
The inside looks like an office too which they have put beds into!

Awful.

A couple of pictures look like it could well be an office - the one with the two desks and the seminar room upstairs!

You may look at the outside, and think 'that's ok', but bear with me.

The house is twice the size it should be for the plot.
It is on a traditional side road, made up largely of retirement style bungalows.
Rooms which are big just for the sake of being big. You could play football in that hallway!
Olive kitchen fronts with tiger granite worktops.
A gargantuan panoramic window to the front, to stare down on some bungalows.

It's a vanity project, built only to sell it. The irony is that he could have built a high specification bungalow for a fraction of the cost, and sold it for between £4-500K, making more in the process.
Looks like I called this one correctly. It's just been pulled off the market after 4 months, apparently without a shred of interest.

Bizarre floorplan, fully glazed entrance hall/stairs. Squeezed 5th bedroom in and a 2nd staircase into the kitchen just opposite the main stairs as someone clearly realised no one would be able to go down for brekkies in the semi-nude through all the glazing or maybe they do!
David Wilson homes, can't say I'm surprised... Viewed a couple of their properties recently, not a fan in the slightest, peculiar internal proportions and design decisions.

I was having a conversation with my parents yesterday, about a bungalow that they tried to buy a few years ago

Some carefully taken photos here

See if you can spot my immediate reservations when looking at the same house on google streetview.

Apparently, my folks said they really liked it and offered them more!

Seller wanted more and ultimately ended up selling for less. Lucky escape if you ask me, i mean, who in their right mind would build a house there!

People buy the oddest properties. I've looked at a few recently that are pretty much on the motorway (sub-200m) and they seem to command a premium!

Hi my uncle has just brought a house on the same road. One of the neighbours brought the land for £25 years ago. He built the house and it has been sold many of times over the years. And the electric pilons are not in use. Still not a nice thing to look at.

The seller said the same to my mum & dad, that the line was only energised as peak times.

They saw it twice, both times it was raining. My dad's half deaf, but he could still hear them crackling away!

I think this is my favourite one so far on this thread. I can just imagine people turning up to view it who haven't looked at that last picture...
