I went to school with a guy whose parents owned this place;
https://www.zoopla.co.uk/property-history/forest-h...
Although for sale in 2011, it was identical to this in the mid 80s.

I supose all the disposable you'd have living mortgage free you could live off the stuff.
£25k and probably that again to clean/modernise it its still a bargain.
Even if its in Hull
More like 5k or 10k if for some reason you were trying to go for a higher end finish. I supose all the disposable you'd have living mortgage free you could live off the stuff.

Streetview of it makes the £25k look like a bargain even needing a good hose down, I know it's Hull but without knowing the location it doesn't look like most inner-city apocalypse sites. Google maps shows it being in a part of the city called Gypsyville......ok
Plenty of clean reasonably normal cars on the street, no boarded up drug dens - https://www.google.com/maps/@53.7311257,-0.3891852...
Still wouldn't live there but could it be a good investment for a student house? Looking at the photos though that's probably what it has been used for

I used to work around the corner from there. I remember stopping at a cash machine at 6am near work, and getting asked do I want any business from a lovely woman, carrying a duvet. Too far out for the uni really. One of the poorer parts of hull.
A couple of the local gems, cheque books at the ready to snap these bad boys up:
On the surface, not horrible but, wait a sec, nearly half a million for a mobile home!

And nearly a quarter of a million for a grade 2 listed shed

Last year we were seriously considering a static, circa £30K, here - https://www.aberdunant.com/
We were amazed that you can buy a static (IE max 40x12 foot) for £140K if you want. Just why would you, when in 15 years it will be scrap!

What would be the lifespan of something like that? And presumably after you've paid all that you still have to pay a gangster 50% over market rates for your electricity and gas and give him 10% of your sale price. I don't see why any park home should ever be more than £5000.

A friend of mine lives mobile home in Northampton. So after buying the "home", they have to pay 4 grand a year in ground rent, can only buy gas from the park owners. They have to leave for one month a year. I'd rather live in a house personally.I don't see why any park home should ever be more than £5000.

£500 is enough to pay for car
£2500 will refurb a 3 bed house
£300 is more than enough for a weeks holiday

It's not a house. Ergo I don't get the pricing. £500 is enough to pay for car
