Real Estate nightmares

Indeed. But I thought the idea of this thread was to mostly mock the current occupant's decor, design choices or squalid lifestyle etc.
You aren't the first to fall prey to TheJimi's odd policing of this thread. Welcome to the club (I don't get it either, imo the more properties posted here the better)

I'm not policing anything, I'm just trying to point out the logical fallacy of highlighting furnishing & decoration as being a "real estate nightmare"
It's a daft concept. Surely it would make more sense to have a thread for "property interior nightmares"?

Looking at the plan again, it's 180sqm.
For almost £3m.
That's going to put it up there with some of the most expensive places per sqm.
Incredible. Looking at the neighbours house its pretty much in your face too, would throwing a million at a demolition and build give you a property worth 4m? Somehow I doubt it but what do I know For almost £3m.
That's going to put it up there with some of the most expensive places per sqm.

I wonder what the backstory is, as it's time warp inside. Not just talking the obvious things like the dated kitchen and coloured bathroom suite, but the contents. The era of the TV's, white goods, and a reel to reel in one shot. Fermit said:
I wonder what the backstory is...
If it is anything like the abandoned house around the corner from my parents' house it will just be someone who has gone into a care home for a few years, then they die without a will and no obvious siblings or offspring, so arguments from distant relatives on who gets the house, plus the council wanting a chunk of money from the sale to pay towards the care home bills, so the house just sits there unused and unsold getting worse by the day.hoagypubdog said:
Always suspicious when things like this come on the market as on initial inspection that looks like a pretty easy refurb for a builder. Road and surrounding houses are OK.It's either way over priced or something is substantially wrong other than the obvious. Us normal punters don't get to see this type of thing too often as the agents have usually done a quick deal with their tame local builders.
