Well it is London, that goes without saying...!

On a side note, did anyone catch 'Anna from Putney' breaking into tears on LBC this morning.
Worried the conservatives are going to make her actually do some work for a living when her 'sick' Mum dies.
Despite refusing to be drawn on just how 'sick' her Mum is, and what health care problems she has herself, that didn't stop her from spending about 2 minutes being absolutely hysterical with Nick Ferrari.
Almost made working in London worthwhile.

I beg your pardon. Nothing whatsoever? Is your search radius thirty feet or something?

It's an ultra-snobbish area, I am sure this would be considered 'outside' even though it is just down the road.
Yeah, the second property isn't "Totteridge" anymore, it's Whetstone!

Amazing,

Surely the renovation costs must have been more than the place is on the market for?

Well you could also describe it as garage.

If you search in Hull then the only property between 475k and 550k is a block of flats.

Going slightly further afield there is a 15acre small holding, a lovely Victorian 3 story terrace house, or something like this in one of the most expensive villages near town;

Closer to home now, 500k gets you a boring 1960's 4 bed detached house

West Wickham isn't too bad. I'd rather live in Farleigh or Selsdon if I had to live near Croydon.

There is quite abit circa 500k.

I found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/s6p/77003942

But wtf you need more than 500. More like 800 to live around there.

Things have got cheaper - this would have been on at £600k a couple of years back. Quite near us, but on the main road (South Circular) with no parking etc, as opposed to a quiet residential street.

3 beds, 1 bath, but only 838 square feet, and no parking. Optimistic pricing for this area, (which is the last relatively cheap bit between Streatham Hill and West Dulwich left, in my view).

That part of South Croydon, ballards estate is nice but the houses are smaller than they look.
West Wickham is nicer.
I live around here, thinking of moving to Oxted......nothing on the market.

That’s gone quickly, this thread certainly doesn’t seem like two years ago.

Down in the SW suburbs, some things have definitely got a bit cheaper in that time, although most are just on the market at the same price with little hope of selling.

£500k still only really gets a flat, or a house with something drastically wrong with it.

What’s wrong with that one? It looks good for £500k to me (although I don’t know the area).

It’s been on the market for months, so perhaps will sell for less?

That does look amazing value. Midlands money.
