Things have got cheaper - this would have been on at £600k a couple of years back. Quite near us, but on the main road (South Circular) with no parking etc, as opposed to a quiet residential street.

3 beds, 1 bath, but only 838 square feet, and no parking. Optimistic pricing for this area, (which is the last relatively cheap bit between Streatham Hill and West Dulwich left, in my view).

Thread divert....

Im looking to keep my Clapham place and get another for the family to live in, you seem to know this area quite well and I have been looking out there recently in dulwich/tulse hill, looking for somewhere that is good for a new family plus transport is not too bad for them.

Budget is spot on here 500k and as many rooms as possible and dont care if it needs work.

Any thoughts and guidance on it...

Will let the thread go back on track now.

This caught my eye. Looks decent value, though not 100% sure of the location.

This is a couple of miles from me. Glorious house just a little out of my league but would be all over that like a tramp on chips if i had the cash to refurb.

Very pleasant but cannot be a wide audience to sell on to after a refurb that would spend that sort of cash to live in Morley.
Morley is really starting to become up and coming now I think. I think a lot of people are being out priced in the north so looking south. I too wish I had a spare 200k to do that up I don't think I'd ever need to move again and you certainly wouldn't find anything like that in North Leeds for 500k!

What an awful house but you can have this,

This for those who like the older stuff

Seaside property.

Not as much as I thought actually. Lots of big old 70s houses with terrible decor and wonkey layouts.

Stamford is like a little bubble when it comes to prices but there are decent family homes for £1/2m if you go out of town.
