was thinking about having a concrete kitchen fitted the other day. then I had a flash back of Borstal days. not a good look frown

I believe the look now is for something that looks completely st but mega expensive. a bit unfinished, 1980's Spanish villa look smile

When you are been paid well, you can "suck it up" But these "homes" all tend to be dirty money places . Not My projects , but I get to do work in some of them . And yes, lets say you are a French Polisher and you are working and you need to get to your van again etc .Its not a question of just walking there and back ! They get super sensitive .Its a "power thing" . One of the designers I have done work for many times got asked to do a Project that would have made him beyond stupid money in the Middle East .But he told them "no" as he does not like the way they treat people in that country . Its really pissed them off .

Get this with my other work in the medical business . people dont want to listen to those that really know .

you do realise most of the most secure locations with proper security procedures take about 10min's to get in?

Where are these places supposed to be then?

I work in super prime development and have many clients who are billionaires with seriously intense security.

No where has even come close to taking an hour to go through security procedures. Not even close.

So unless you are working at Buckingham Palace or the Pentagon, im calling bullst.

In a former job I had to work in 10 Downing Street on the odd occasion. Rock up to the gates, quick check your name is on the list, check of my kit, sometimes an x-ray of it, then escorted in. 10 minutes tops, maybe more if a load of tourists were stood blocking the gate.

I'm imagining 8 hours to bring in 8 bags of cement, 16 if you sport a goatee...

They demand a hour so it takes a hour. That time is allocated and costed in. Its a mountain out of a mole hill thing with these types. We all have to ready and through at a certain time. But hey, we get paid enough to afford better places than Nandos !

You have said you bring in French Polishers/Concrete specialists etc so you don't actually do the skilled part yourself? You have also said there are designers you repeatedly work with, so the ideas of leather floors and what not, are not yours neither.

As you have mentioned the word project a few times, I guess that is your contribution. Project Management?

Considering last week you were asking around about buying a 2009 Citroen C5 diesel (to "squeeze as much MPG as possible"), perhaps you should consider Nando's so you can save a few more quid wink

"roll" with the best end of the market in my Citroen C5!

No one with class would ever say they 'roll with the best end of the market'.

Put some shelves up for the Escobars the other week.
The security checks were a right pain in the arse, literally.
Wasn't just a quick rummage in me toolbox, I can tell you.
